I am an artist based along the Suffolk–Norfolk border, where the surrounding landscape continues to shape my life and practice. Growing up here, I’ve always felt a strong connection to nature, which remains at the core of my work. I’m particularly drawn to forests and woodlands, and to the presence of trees. I like to observe their textures, movement, and quiet mystical presence, a feeling I try to capture within my paintings.

For several years, I was lucky enough to travel across the world for work. While exciting and fast-paced, it eventually led me to crave something slower and more grounded. Returning home to the British countryside, walking and observing, naturally brought me back to painting, a process I find meditative and calming.

Influenced by Impressionism, I explore colour, light, and atmosphere within natural forms. My practice is primarily painting, but I’ve begun incorporating mixed media, including oil pastels, watercolour, and stitched thread to build layered, tactile surfaces that reflect the textures we find in nature.

Alongside this, I’m interested in returning to stone. I have previously worked as a memorial artist, etching and sandblasting designs into materials such as granite and slate. It’s a precise and permanent medium, and I’m drawn to exploring how my nature- based imagery might translate into it.

My practice continues to evolve through both familiar and new processes, with my surrounding landscapes as a constant source of inspiration.
