‘After graduating Winchester School of Art with a degree in Fine Art Printmaking I embarked upon a career within the Arts. My love of handmade studio jewellery was ignited while working in a craft curation role as part of the 5 strong female team who ran The Beatrice Royal Art Gallery in Hampshire.

As my interest in jewellery grew and I moved to Justice, a high-end designer jewellery boutique in Winchester. Here I was surrounded by the work of the top 40 British jewellery designers including Shaun Leanne, Sophie Harley and Diana Porter. Inspired I completed a silversmithing course giving me the skills that enabled me to start designing and creating my own collections.

With a focus on the tactility and surface pattern I draw on my knowledge of traditional printmaking techniques to create unique textures and finishes on the work.

My inspiration comes predominately from nature and the landscape and seascapes around me. I aspire to celebrate the elegance, beauty and charm that is revealed by the passage of time as all things dematerialize. Rusting, peeling, cracking, scared and eroding surfaces along with grasses, seedheads, seaweeds, lichens and mosses all offer a rich visual and tactile quality which translates into my work. Recognizing beauty in humble simplicity my collections are design led, timeless and elegant. They echo the distilled essence of the organic, asymmetrical time worn shapes found in nature.

I work from my studio in Suffolk where I design and create clean lined, wearable contemporary jewellery using recycled silver and gold and free form hand facetted precious and semi precious stones.’
