Ceramics
with Kate Welton

Small, tailored sessions for all levels of experience.
Wheel-Throwing Workshop for up to 2 people. Try your hand at the potter’s wheel. Learn how to prepare the clay, before being guided through the process of throwing a pot. Have a go at making cup, bowl and vase shapes.
Slab building & Mark Making Workshop for up to 3 people. Explore slab-building processes to make a vase or dish. Add colour and pattern to your pieces using a range of decorating techniques. In the full day workshop there will be the opportunity to create pieces using both press mould and constructed slab methods.
2.5hrs Taster Session: 1-1 £75, 2 people £65pp
Full Day 10am-4pm: 1-1 £150, 2 people £130pp

Dress Making
with Marie Mallen

Have you ever wanted to make an item of clothing but have no idea where to begin? This is the workshop for you.
Marie will teach you how to make an item of your choice – previous examples have included a dress, skirt or bag. You will learn traditional tailoring skills: pattern cutting, pinning, zip insertion etc. The number of sessions will depend on the complexity of your chosen pattern.
One-to-One tuition.
Workshop length 2 hours, cost per person £35 (excludes fabric cost)
Mosaics
with Joy Holden

Enjoy a day of mosaic making
Learning to use tools, cutting glass and unglazed ceramics, grouting and finishing.
Direct Method; here we create a small piece for the wall or decorate a plant pot.
Reverse Method; creating a daisy coaster.
Workshops are for 2/3 people, workshop length 5-6 hrs

With 30 years teaching experience, Annette offers a variety of printmaking workshops, mainly linocut for paper and fabric, also drypoint engraving and collograph.
Annette has a professional and friendly approach and offers workshops for 1 to 3 adults in her studio.

Printmaking

Stone Lithography – A rare opportunity to work with traditional stones and materials in the oldest of the lithographic techniques.
Non-Toxic Etching – Etching copper, zinc or aluminium plates using non-toxic materials to create prints rich in colour and textures. Explore traditional mark making or include digital elements in your work.
Printmaking from £90 to £120 per person for a full day 10am-4.30pm including materials, 2 people maximum
SAORI Weaving
with The SAORI Shed

Free, spontaneous, joyful weaving. Explore your inner creativity. No mistakes, no patterns to follow. Looms are set up ready for you to begin. Exciting supply of yarns, a “wall of wool”, cottons, silks and fancy yarns. Unusual materials, fabrics and a lucky dip box of treasures to incorporate into your weaving. Weaving sessions are catered to the individual.
Space for up to 5 weavers on Saori floor looms.
2hr starter session – £30/person + materials @10/gm (usually around £3-£5)
