Time & Location

Saturday 7th November, 10:30 – 15:00 designermakers21, Diss, IP22 4LB

About the Workshop

Step away from the bustle of the festive season and spend a few peaceful hours working with clay to create a Christmas wall-mounted candle holder. Bringing a sense of comfort, peace, and wellbeing into your home throughout the winter months.

Using traditional hand-building techniques, you’ll shape and decorate your own unique candle holder, making your finished creation a truly special decoration to bring out year after year.

Working with clay is a wonderfully grounding experience, inviting you to slow down, be present, and enjoy the rhythm of making with your hands. As the evenings grow darker, your handcrafted candle holder will cast a warm, welcoming glow—a gentle reminder to gather, rest, and enjoy the simple pleasures of the season.

Perfect for beginners and experienced makers alike, this friendly workshop is a chance to embrace creativity, connect with others, and take home a beautiful wall mounted candle holder.

Your candle holder will be fired, glazed and returned to you finished.

About Sharon

Sharon’s journey with clay began over thirty years ago, sparked by a deep fascination with the transformative power of earth and fire. Each piece begins as a humble lump of clay, shaped by skilled hands and guided by an artistic vision that celebrates both form and function.

Sharon completed a degree at UWE Bristol in ceramics and went on to set up a ceramics studio, exhibiting in various galleries, and taking on a number of teaching positions, which she thoroughly enjoyed. https://sharonwilliamspottery.co.uk/
