Alison grew up in a creative family going back at least 3 generations. It was inevitable that she’d be a maker of some kind. Her medium of choice is fabric, paint and stitch.
Alison is an art quilter who works with a single piece of fabric and adds paint and machine stitch to bring the surface to life. This is known as working in wholecloth.
Alison’s inspiration comes from photographs. A white piece of fabric allows her to focus in on texture and colour without being distracted by other materials.
