Picus viridis Crafts
Wild crafts and workshops. Fay Jones is joining designermakers21 for a three-month pop-up studio on the ground floor, just follow the trail of wood shavings through the green door . . .
Among Fay’s many loves are green wood working, dyeing things with plants, natural cordage (especially stinging nettles) and combining all 3 into appealing, tactile and useable objects. Focusing carving mostly on spoons, spatulas, pendants and fibrecraft tools. Fay uses locally sourced green wood and a variety of hand tools. After spending the last couple of years experimenting dyeing just yarn Fay has now started to dye a range of items from recycled woollen bunting to small wall hangings.
As well as offering a range of wood work, dyed and other items for sale Fay will also be offering 1 to 1 or small group dyeing and carving workshops in her studio.
